Announce Live Album "Mirage Tour" 82 Fleetwood Mac

Six previously unheard recordings among 22 tracks total on Mirage Tour '82.

With a fresh release of Mirage Tour "82, a live album capturing the thrill of their legendary performances at The Forum in Los Angeles, Fleetwood Mac is once more at the forefront.

Released on June 18, 1982, Mirage, the thirteenth studio album of the band, spawned multiple big singles including "Hold Me,," which reached at No. 4 on the Billboard Pop Chart.

There are 22 tracks on Mirage Tour '82, six of which are previously unpublished recordings from the Oct. 21, 1982 event.

Among the freshly accessible live recordings are some of the band's best singles, including "Landslide," "Dreams," and "Don't Stop." Released for streaming ahead of the album release, a live rendition of "Don't Stop"

To promote Mirage, the band's fourth consecutive multiplatinum record and third No. 1 in America, Fleetwood Mac set out a 31-city U.S. tour in September 1982. Both events at The Forum were videotaped; Mirage Tour "82 aggregates songs from both into a single concert experience," says a press statement for the CD.

Available on September 20, the compilation will come in digital, 2xCD, and 3xLP vinyl.

Live, which debuted at No. 4 on Billboards Top Album Sales chart dated September 23, 2023, reflects last year's rumors. Since their studio album Say You Will opened at No. 2 in May 2003, this represented Fleetwood Mac's best chart debut. Rumours: Live recordings from the band's Aug. 29, 1977, gig at The Forum during their Rumours Tour.

The chances of a complete band reunion are remote even with the renowned group's most recent CD, which chronicles Christine McVie's death in 2022. While Stevie Nicks has said the trio has "no reason" for touring once again, Mick Fleetwood has called the concept "unthinkable." As a solo performer, Nicks, however, shows no indication of slowing down the traveling life as she rocks venues all around. This September she has gigs at Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Music critic Bill DeMain writes in the liner notes of Mirage Tour "were platforms to expand and reinvent songs for the stage, to let them breathe, to unleash different, wilder sides of a band." Mirage Tour "is a riveting listen."

Fleetwood Mac produced a Rumours live CD last year from a show the band gave at The Forum in 1977. The only chance for Fleetwood Mac fans to see the band live will be archival albums such as Mirage Tour "82 and Rumours Live.

Mick Fleetwood claimed the thought of a band reunion was "un unthinkable" when Christine McVie passed away in 2022. Stevie Nicks said in October, "there's no reason" the trio should tour once more.

Still, Nicks has been traveling solo as a performer. Tickets for her forthcoming performances in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Grand Rapids, Michigan, are available here.
